Isaiah 43:16-18

¹⁶ Thus says the Lord,
    who opened a way through the sea,
    a path through raging waters,
¹⁷ who led out chariots and horsemen
    and an army of formidable strength,
until the enemy lay prostrate, unable to rise,
    extinguished and snuffed out like a wick.
¹⁸ Do not linger thinking about events of the past;
    consider not the things of old.
